The more torque applied to the chuck, the tighter it grips! |
- All Albrecht Drill Chucks, except for the Key-Lock model, incorporate a unique self-tightening feature which causes them to grip drills tighter as more torque is applied, (clockwise direction only).
- Even when high torque is applied, the chucks can still be easily opened by hand.
- Key-type chucks do not get tighter with increasing torque.
- Many cordless hand drills, which formerly used key-type chucks, are now being supplied with keyless chucks to take advantage of this feature.
- Manufacturing plants in Europe and Japan define Albrecht Keyless Drill Chucks as the industry standard. Most would not even consider using a key-type chuck in an industrial application where a keyless-type could be used.
