** PLEASE DESCRIBE THIS IMAGE **

Gripping torque is the rotational force that resists cutting tool slippage. The Uberchuck's patented two-stage clamping mechanism produces extremely high gripping torque without costly equipment or time-consuming procedures. Cutting tool changes can be accomplished quickly using only a simple hex key.

Here's How it Works.

ALBRECHT TECHNOLOGY STAGE 1

The hex key is inserted into the body of the Uberchuck CNC machine tool holder, where it rotates a worm gear that drives a larger precision gear. This worm/gear assembly generates significant mechanical advantage, and subsequently greater force than a direct-drive system.

ALBRECHT TECHNOLOGY STAGE 2

A specially coated, slow-taper collet is threaded into the precision gear, so the collet is pulled back into the body of the Uberchuck CNC machine tool holder as the gear rotates. The angle between the collet and the Uberchuck milling chuck body conforms to the Morse Taper standard, producing a near - perfect locking interface between the two components.

The gripping torque achieved through the combination of these two mechanisms is truly amazing - it significantly surpasses what can be achieved by other commonly used CNC milling tool holder systems.

Superior gripping torque and dampening characteristics result in outstanding performance. In fact, you'll find that installing Uberchuck CNC machine tool holders will enhance the quality and throughput of your CNC machining operations.
